Stefano Ricci launches the first “Stefano Ricci Heritage Trophy”

Florence, Italy – Bringing together the Tuscan city’s love of fine cars and fashion, haute menswear house Stefano Ricci launched the first “Stefano Ricci Heritage Trophy” during the Pitti Immagine Uomo fashion trade fair here to recognize “hand made” cars, according to Stefano Ricci head Mr. Stefano Ricci.

The “Elegance” competition judging and honorary committees featured a global panel of elite travelers, including, Mauro Forghieri, Chief Engineer of Ferrari from 1962 to 1984; Franz Botre, Editor in Chief Swan Group; Fausto Cappi, Ferrari Motor racing tracks Manager; Giovanni “Nanni” Galli, Former Formula 1 Driver; Alessandro Bruni – Secretary; Burton M.Tansky, President & CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group; Mohamed Abou El Enein, Head of the Industrial Committee- Egyptian Parliament; Cristina Acidini, Superintendance for the State Museums of Florence; Sandro Binelli, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of Mille Miglia; John Birmingham, Editor in Chief of DNR Fairchild Publications; Ali Fayed, Co-Chairman – Harrods UK Limited; Bijan Pakzad, Chairman and Designer, Bijan Company, Beverly Hills; Wook Yang, President and CEO, Hanwha Galleria.

The winners were announced during a gala dinner in Boboli Gardens:

At the event, Mr. Ricci also announced a road rally that will take place between Cairo and Alexandria of Egypt before the end of this year. According to Filippo Ricci, “It will be a 250 Km race and an event in a special and magic location.”

About 250 people attended the awards ceremony while a car display during the day outside the trade show attracted an estimated 50,000 viewers in several hours.
