Red Carnation Collects Top Awards

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

New York, New York – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Red Carnation, one of the most celebrated family-run boutique hotel collections for service excellence in the world, dominated the annual 2010 BT Visit London Awards ceremony last night at the Bloomsbury Big Top, winning three prestigious awards, including top spot for Best Small Hotel.

Now in its seventh year, the highly coveted Awards celebrate the richness and diversity of the No.1 city in the world, rewarding accommodation providers, attractions, tours, restaurants, events and businesses that deliver world-class and unparalleled experiences that make London such an outstanding destination.

The expert panel of judges and the public were faced with fierce competition this year, yet Red Carnation, with its six hotels in London, was triumphant in two categories winning three awards. Their five-star Egerton House Hotel near Harrods in Knightsbridge won Gold in the Small Hotel category, with sister five star ’41’ hotel, overlooking the Buckingham Palace Royal Mews, winning Bronze. In the Large Hotel of the year category, Red Carnation’s multi award-winning five-star flagship hotel, recently Voted No. 1 Hotel in the British Isles, and the only hotel in London in the Top 100, in the Condé Nast Traveler annual Readers Choice awards 2010, The Milestone in Kensington, winning Silver.

These awards are a true reflection of the public’s voice, as they continually battle within the top five hotels for London in TripAdvisor, now currently featuring ’41’ in 1st, The Egerton House in 2nd and The Milestone in 4th position.

Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection comments “This is an outstanding achievement for The Egerton, ’41’ and The Milestone. Our teams, both in London and around the world at all of our thirteen hotels, work tirelessly to deliver a level of service which is a cut above the rest. I’m always so thrilled to read the lovely comments received by our guests, and I would therefore like to thank the judges, and indeed the public, for their votes.”

“No request is too large, no detail too small” is the ethos that inspires this luxury collection of thirteen five and four star outstanding boutique hotels. Each property has its own individual character and unique location that reflects the local environment, culture and cuisine. They all share the qualities that win Red Carnation so many prestigious awards – splendid luxury, generous hospitality, inventive and traditional cuisine, private art collections, passionate service and loyal staff committed to creating richly rewarding experiences for all their guests.
