Photographer Robert Curran to Open Gallery In December

Photographer Robert Curran will open the Robert Curran Gallery hosted by supermodel Petra Nemcova on December 4, 2014 during Miami Art Basel, in the glamorous design district of Miami at 74 NE 40th Street. For the show named Anthology, he will be exhibiting photos of his travels from the last 20 years in over 100 countries that spanned 5 continents.

Robert was born in Manhattan and moved to Cuzco, Peru, at a young age.  He grew up amidst the remnants of Spanish colonialism and native traditions, which sparked his interest in culture and fashion. At the age of 8, he moved with his father to the Bahamas and then to Massachusetts where he attended Deerfield Academy.

To pursue his interest in art and culture Robert attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in international relations, which would cement the foundation for a life documenting of travel and fashion.

Robert’s Photography work explores themes of man’s coexistence with the environment through fashion and architecture.

Always evolving, his successful entry into the world of Fine art photography has been recognized by many notable private collectors.  Robert’s photographs now appear in the private collections of His Majesty Abdullah Hussein, King of Jordan, Miguel Forbes, Alex Sapir and Ivanka Trump.

Sold out shows in Manhattan at The Forbes Gallery in 2002 and 2005, were followed by one man shows at Mission Gallery, in Miami, which showcased his photography during Art Basel in 2006 and 2007.

He is now ready to open up his own gallery to showcase his extensive collection.
