Exhale To Open At Epic In Miami

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Exhale, the mind body spa best known for its unique spa therapies, transformational programs and services, and results-oriented Core Fusion® fitness program, will launch its first Miami flagship location at the new EPIC Hotel & Residences in Downtown Miami in February 2010. It will be the second Florida offering from the renowned fitness, beauty and wellness spa, with exhale at The Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach having opened in late August, 2009.

Exhale at EPIC is located on the 16th floor of the development, which includes a 414-room boutique hotel, operated by Kimpton Hotels, and 340 deluxe condominiums. Residents, hotel guests and members of the public alike will be able to experience exhale’s transformational mind body class programming which includes their proprietary Core Fusion®, Core Fusion® Sport and Core Energy Flow® classes. Exhale’s stunning spa and fitness center is split over two levels with 12,000 square feet dedicated to:

-Reception and wellbeing retail apothecary
-Mind body gym, equipped with traditional cardio and weights machines
-Yoga studio overlooking Pooldeck with dramatic Biscayne water views
-Core Fusion studio with floor to ceiling glass walls on two sides, that feature a “floating” ballet -bar, with spectacular water and city views
-WELLBAR for signature express treatments, nails, waxing and brow services
-Changing rooms with deluxe showers, lockers, grooming and infra-red sauna
-Co-ed quiet lounge with hammam detox chamber
-14 therapy rooms, two of which are set up for couples’ therapies
-Access to the 13,752 square foot pool deck.

The opening of the Miami flagship will also see the launch of exhale’s new Core Personal Training program. The one-on-one methodology will include training and guidance in a gym environment, incorporating Core Fusion® and other mind body modalities into a program designed around traditional cardiovascular and weights machines and equipment.

“We are very excited to bring exhale’s transformational offerings to Miami. The results-oriented spa realm is relatively untapped here and we are already seeing a strong buzz building about our presence,” said Annbeth Eschbach, CEO of exhale. “Partnering with Kimpton’s EPIC Hotel & Residences was a natural fit for us as the design and aesthetic of the property truly speaks to the elements of rejuvenation and sanctuary that embody the exhale brand.”

Exhale at EPIC is currently in a temporary opening phase. EPIC residents, hotel guests and members of the public are welcome to experience a taste of their highly regarded Core Fusion® workouts and yoga classes in the preview studio, with in-room therapies available to residents and hotel guests.
