DUX Beds of Sweden, known for producing the most comfortable and technologically advanced bed on the market, announced today that it has been selected to provide all the beds for one of the world’s most deluxe hotels, the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Uniquely designed DUX beds will be placed in each of the 202 luxury suites of the Burj Al Arab (www.burjalarab.com).
As the world’s first and only proclaimed “seven-star” hotel, the iconic Burj Al Arab, built on a man-made island off the coast of Dubai and designed to resemble a large sail, boasts the finest of what the world has to offer. Suites average $4,000 per night, and the hotel has a 98% occupancy rate.
The interior of the hotel features the world’s tallest atrium lobby, and is furnished with gold leaf and 30 different types of marble. From chauffeur driven Rolls Royces to its brigade of butlers, the hotel’s catalog of services now includes a bed by DUX designed specifically for the hotel.
Working in collaboration with the Burj Al Arab’s hotel management, DUX custom designed a bed for the hotel’s upscale clientèle that provides the ultimate in comfort and flexibility. At DUX’s insistence, the Burj Al Arab management personally tested the bed before signing off on the design and finalizing the company’s agreement.
“It is very rewarding that the Burj Al Arab has chosen a bed that puts comfort and function in the limelight,” said Claes Ljung, CEO of DUX Beds of Sweden. “Usually hotels put comfort to the side, and focus on an economical price. Burj Al Arab international clientèle can afford anything in the world, so the hotel decided to have only the best.”
DUX Beds of Sweden is known for its relationship with some of the most prestigious hotels throughout the world: most noteworthy of which are the Setai in Miami, Florida, and the Peninsula Group where DUX beds are featured. DUX Beds of Sweden has also launched a hotel concept in Sweden called Hotel DUXIANA, a model that promotes the ultimate sleeping experience as top priority in travel comfort.
