Las Vegas, Nevada — Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is giving gourmands a chance to simultaneously indulge their palates and ring in 2013 with a host of, literally, delicious celebratory events.

From December 28 through January 3, world renowned Chef Pierre Gagnaire will make a special guest appearance at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas’s five-star restaurant Twist. While Chef Gagnaire is in-house, he’ll be personally unveiling his new Twist 2013 menu and creating the ultimate gastronomic New Year’s Eve feast for guests.

“Chef Gagnaire has a fine collection of award-wining restaurants around the world so to have him guest-chef with us during this holiday season is a very special and rare opportunity to enjoy legendary Pierre Gagnaire cuisine cooked by the culinary master himself,” states Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas’ General Manager, Clifford Atkinson.

The New Year’s Eve dinner comes in two seatings. The first and earlier seating consists of four courses—spiny Lobster Fricassee with Lemongrass Rhubarb & Mango Étouffe, Poached Fillet of Sole & Baby Oysters, Prime Grilled Beef Filet and a wide selection of grand desserts— and is priced at $395 per person. The six-course second seating, featuring Osetra Caviar, Spiny Lobster Fricassee, Poached Fillet of Sole & Baby Oysters, New Year’s Stew, Prime Grilled Beef Filet and a similarly robust array of desserts, is priced at $595 per person. “Around the World” wine pairings are available for a supplement of $175 and $225 for the first and second seatings respectively and include a pairing for each course plus champagne.

Those who can’t make it to Twist’s New Year’s Eve dinner may join Chef Gagnaire for a preview of his new 2013 Twist menu December 28-30 and January 2-3.
