With 16,000 sq ft set over four floors, The Maharajah’s Pavilion is fit for royalty. The decor throughout the suite is equally regal, with ornate gold leaf adorning the walls, dripping chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and antique furniture in each room.

However, it is on the suite’s top floor that the impressive wellness facilities make themselves known. In the era of maharajas, the top floor acted as the pleasure pavilion for royal guests – now it offers a rooftop terrace with views across Jaipur. On the rooftop, guests will find a private swimming pool and Jacuzzi, as well a large lounge and bar. The top floor is also home to an exclusive spa room where guests can enjoy treatments in complete privacy.

Overlooking the picturesque Lake Lucerne, Bürgenstock Hotel and Alpine Spa is known as being one of the most indulgent spa hotels in Switzerland, with extensive facilities including an infinity pool and an alpine spa garden. In a hotel regarded so highly for its wellness facilities, it should come as no surprise that the top suite is equally as committed to guest well-being. Although the suite doesn’t meet all the criteria within our data, the exclusive spa facilities on offer made it prime for an honorable mention in this roundup.

In the ultra-luxe Presidential Suite at Bürgenstock Hotel and Alpine Spa, you will find a private spa room complete with Jacuzzi, panorama sauna and a star-ceilinged rain shower, all of which have sublime panoramic views across the lake. The Presidential Suite also boasts an adjoining massage therapy room, cementing its status as one of the top wellness suites in the world.

As a country renowned for its authentic and pioneering spa techniques and facilities, two Swiss hotels appearing on our roundup of the top wellness suites is no shock. The second on our list is the Panorama Suite at The Alpina Gstaad, which has been imagined with health and well-being at the core of its design. As with Bürgenstock Hotel and Alpine Spa’s Presidential Suite, the Panorama Suite doesn’t fully fit our data-led criteria – but again, the amenities on offer made it hard to leave out.

In addition to the three bedrooms and expansive living space, the Panorama Suite also includes a fully private, ultra-luxurious spa area, complete with a sauna, steam room, fitness equipment and massage corner, preventing the need to cross paths with other hotel guests.

Completing the luxurious offering is an outdoor Jacuzzi with views out across the Bernese Alps. Each of the bedrooms is spacious and comfortable, but the master offers an added level of indulgence with the presence of an underlit, oversized freestanding bathtub and a rainfall shower.
