Royal Suite, The Savoy, London

By Elite Traveler |  January 6 2020

The Savoy Royal Suite Bedroom

Needing little introduction, The Savoy is one of London’s most legendary hotels. It sits right on the bank of the River Thames (the only five-star hotel in the city to do so) and was the first luxury hotel in all of Britain. It has had many famous patrons during its 130-year history, and many of the guest rooms pay homage to them — the Marlene Dietrich Suite has a bouquet of pink roses that the actress requested whenever she stayed. The Royal Suite is the grandest of them all: It occupies the entire riverside of the fifth floor and has a master bedroom with four-poster bed and a Savoir mattress. The open-plan layout is perfect for entertaining; the sitting room leads into a spacious living room with its own bar — have your butler whip up a cocktail and enjoy the incredible views of the London Eye, Canary Wharf and beyond.

From $19,000 per night. Contact Kate Fox-Male, guest experience and communications manager, svy.reservations@fairmont.com, +44 207 836 4343, fairmont.com
