A year-round destination, there is no right or wrong time to visit Las Vegas.
Travelers should be aware that since the city is based in the Mohave Desert temperatures in summer months can get very high. Winter in Las Vegas rarely brings snow and it is relatively mild in the daytime with temperatures dropping at night. During the warm Spring and Fall months the city is prone to flash flooding, which can cause minor disruptions.

Las Vegas is very much a 24-hour city, although stores tend to open from 10am to 8pm, or later.
Smoking laws vary in Las Vegas so we recommend you check with each venue.
Many casinos, clubs and bars not serving food allow patrons to smoke, while restaurants and the majority of other food outlets forbid smoking on the premises. Those under-21 years of age cannot gamble in casinos and cannot drink alcohol; a photo-ID is required as proof of age. Like most US states, tipping is strongly advised in bars, restaurants, hotels, when paying drivers and for other similar services. Children under the age of 18 have a curfew of 10pm unless accompanied by an adult.
In the summer months, temperatures can reach into the high 20’s (°C) so it is advisable to wear sunscreen.
In Spring and Fall, some form of waterproof clothing is recommended as a precaution against sudden downpours.
