Fashion has been at the center of Russian culture for centuries, and where the Tsars and imperial courtiers once led the way, now top designers and unique boutiques supply the trends.
Nevsky Prospect is the city’s central shopping destination; and the Grand Hotel Europe is home to the most exclusive brands.
Easily one of the most famous designers in St Petersburg, Tatyana Parfionova’s store on Nevsky Prospekt is one of the highlights of the street.
Parfionova has created clothes and accessories that are innovative, original and highly relevant; so much so, that some of her work is on display in the Russian Museum. A trip to the store may even give you the chance to meet the famous designer, who is often to be found in her store sketching new designs. Tatyana Parfionova is ideal for those who want clothes that are uniquely creative, and it is even worth a visit if you are not a fashion fan; but remember to pick up a Tatiana shawl – they are highly regarded around the globe.
Since opening in 1988, Babochka has expanded and opened six multi-brand stores and three brand boutiques, Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna and Emporio Armani.
The finest of these is the Gallery, which can be found on the highlyfashionable Nevsky Prospect. The three-story building features a wealth of internationally renowned brands such as Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Oscar De la Renta, Roberto Cavalli and Michael Kors. However, Babochka has more to offer than shopping, and with tailor services, a bar and VIP fitting rooms, visitors can savour an experience they will never forget. The helpful staff will supply you with complimentary champagne as you browse through the top designers and provide you with tips on the latest fashions and trends.

The store features top brands such as Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu and Moncler, and the emphasis of this store is also on more revolutionary and inventive designs.
