Bulgari to Auction Jewels for Charity in December

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Bulgari has a passion for education and jewelry. So in honor of their 125th anniversary, the renown Italian jewelry and watch company will auction off $4 million worth of jewels to benefit Save the Children’s “Rewrite the Future” campaign.

The collection features 11 one-of-a-kind jewelry creations and seven limited edition timepieces. Such spectacular pieces include the sapphire and diamond necklace, comprised of 169 sapphires totaling 400 carats and 951 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Bulgari presented the collection publicly in late May at Il Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, during the museum’s Bulgari exhibition. Until November, the collection will tour some of the world’s greatest cities before landing in New York for the December auction at Christie’s in Rockefeller Plaza.

All proceeds will be donated to Save the Children’s program, “Rewrite the Future.” The non-profit is dedicated to providing quality education to more than eight million children living in conflict-affected areas.
