JANUARY – MARCH, ANNUALLY
The jewel in the calendar for high society in Prague, the Ball Season harks back to the decadence of the city’s past.
Balls are held all over the city throughout January, in venues such as the Marble Hall in the Lucerna Palace, the sumptuous Žofín Palace, and the Majakovsky Hall in the National House of Vinohrady. The climax of the season is the Ball in Opera which this year commemorates the death of Rudolph II 400 years ago. Elite travelers can brush up on their waltz with private dance lessons, or indeed host their own illustrious ball.
