This sailing regatta has been a yachting highlight since the birth of
classic yachts themselves.
For over 100 years Yacht Club de Monaco has hosted this biennial pilgrimage for the world’s finest classic yachts. J-Classes and classic schooners cut graciously through the water for eight days. Then, come evening, Port Hercule becomes cluttered with wooden masts and hulls as their crews party in true Monaco style. To see the classics race is spectacular, but to really experience the thrill you have to be onboard one. Previously ‘Elena’ took part in this event, a 180-foot wooden schooner that attracted crowds to behold her, yet rivaled other classics with her speed and precision.
