Hotel Lopez de Haro
The English-themed Hotel López De Haro has become the favorite of Basque critics and celebrities alike, thanks to its traditional interior, lavish comforts and excellent service.
Named in honor of Bilbao’s founder, Don Diego Lopez De Haro V, the hotel underwent complete refurbishment in 2007, resulting in a more contemporary style. Top Basque cuisine is available at the hotel’s restaurant, Club Nautico, and the Moet & Chandon Champagne bar is popular with Bilbao’s movers and shakers. The Guggenheim Museum is nearby, and it is widely rumored that its designer, Frank Gehry, sketched his first drawings in one of the hotel’s suites.
TOP SUITE Presidential Suite
Why we love it: It’s no surprise to find that the hotel’s opulence continues into its top suite. The Presidential Suite is one of the finest in Bilbao, combining an elegant décor with comfort and luxury to provide the perfect accommodation for elite travelers. The suite also features many top class amenities, including a flat-screen TV in the living room and a Jacuzzi. The bathroom is larger than most hotel rooms in the city and the living area is filled with artwork and luxury furniture.
