With access to the waters of the Wadden Sea and the North Sea, and with many areas of Northern Europe easily accessible from the marinas surrounding Amsterdam, sailing a yacht to the Dutch capital makes perfect sense.

MONNICKENDAM
Located seven miles to the north of Amsterdam in the picturesque town of Monnickendam, Monnickendam Marina is an ideal harbor for yachters.
The marina has six berths available for 25-30m (82-98ft) yachts, and is 15.5 miles from Amsterdam’s international airport. The marina is open all year, seven days a week, and boasts an abundance of facilities. Electricity, water and sanitation are all available, as well as a bicycle hire service, a BBQ area and children’s park. The town of Monnickendam and the city of Amsterdam are both within easy reach; Monnickendam itself is a small village but was once a lively port area. There are several historical sites that are notable, including the 14th century church of St. Nicholas. The village also has a collection of restaurants and bars, and the Michelin-starred Poosthorn restaurant is well worth a visit. The location of the marina means that there is easy access to Ijsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and the North Sea, some of the finest sailing areas in Northern Europe.
