By Chris Boyle

1911 Bar

Delhi offers more than beautiful monuments and a warm climate. At Elite Traveler we believe it is at night that things really start to heat up.

We have picked some of our favorite bars and nightclubs to quench your appetite at almost any hour.

Aura Vodka Bar

This Vodka Bar at The Claridges, boasts an innovative cutting-edge vodka list with over 75 brands of the finest and rarest vodka from around the globe.

Also available on the menu are exclusive vodka platters where one can sample shots of premium vodka from, among others, Finland, Russia and Poland. The attentive bartenders at Aura have put together an amazing selection of cocktails with their signatures being Spicelandic, The Matrix and Wild Honey Pie. The drinks are complemented by a very novel and cosmopolitan selection of foods and the delectable snacks range from dim sum to bruschetta. The chic minimalist interiors and their state-of-the-art sound system, which plays foot tapping music nightly, makes Aura the perfect place for lounging until 1am.

TROPHY BAR

Trophy Bar

This unique watering hole at the Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel beckons you back to the days when the maharajahs would indulge in their favorite sport: hunting.

Wildlife trophies, hunting, fishing and pig sticking memorabilia along with cozy interiors make a wonderful setting in which to enjoy the fine selection of single malts, wines, liqueurs and Cuban cigars. This venue also features rare elephant-foot stools and tiger skin cushions throughout. For the extravagant and adventurous types, the not-for-thefaint- hearted regiment special is also on offer (an array of daring refreshments). Though a late night bar, this venue has a lowkey impression, giving it that extra exclusive atmosphere. Past guests have included Prince Charles, Bill Gates, Madonna and Mick Jagger.
