The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok

Treatments and facilities: Managed by MSpa, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok offers high-tech facilities combined with traditional architecture and authentic Thai treatments for both a luxurious and spiritual experience.

Enjoy a traditional Thai or oriental foot massage either at the poolside or in the hotel’s beautiful gardens surrounded by soothing tropical aromas. Alternatively book the luxurious private suite which is adorned with sumptuous organza, lavish golden wallpaper and colored-crystal chandeliers. Here you can indulge in bespoke treatments provided by an expert therapist before slipping into the suite’s private plunge pool.

Signature treatment: Thai Herbal Compress – Muscles are loosened with a warm poultice of therapeutic Thai herbs in preparation for a deep massage that uses a combination of essential oils tailored to the individual. For the ultimate relaxation experience combine the treatment with a floral foot bath.

COMO Shambhala Urban Escape at the Metropolitan Bangkok

Treatments and facilities: COMO Shambhala Urban Escape specializes in Southeast Asian therapies with a focus on yoga related treatments.

The spa takes a holistic approach and seeks to balance individuals both spiritually and physically through reflexology, energizing deep tissue massages and soothing facials. In addition to a fully-equipped and naturally-lit gym, hydro pool and a 65 foot outdoor pool, the spa has a specialist yoga studio lined with mirrors. There are regular yoga classes and private appointments can be made with a professional fitness instructor.

Signature treatment: Thai Massage, also known as passive yoga. An experienced therapist gently stretches and manipulates the body to balance the major muscle groups and promote flexibility in the joints and spine. No oil is used during the massage and light cotton pajamas are provided.

The Oriental Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bangkok

Treatments and Facilities: A private boat will transport you from the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok to a lavishly restored century-old traditional teak wood house on the opposite side of the river.

Antique décor and timehonored Thai treatments merge with avant-garde techniques and stateof- the-art facilities, such as heated scrub tables and vitality whirlpools. Designer John Morford has created 15 sumptuously decorated private spa suites, five of which have Jacuzzis and private steam rooms. This luxurious spa has attracted a number of VIP guests including George Bush, Elizabeth Taylor and Goldie Hawn.

Signature treatment: The Oriental Signature Treatment – The therapy begins with a massage using soothing essential oils, acupressure movements and muscle stretches. A calming anti-inflammatory herbal compress of lemongrass, turmeric and plai is then applied to the shoulder and spine to ease all tension from the muscles.
