The ancient art of Ayurveda is timeless and has been considered an Indian healing therapy for over five thousand years – an enduring art form which The Peninsula Spa by ESPA at The Peninsula Bangkok is privileged and honoured to bring to guests with the introduction of two new calming treatments incorporating the legendary relaxation therapy of Ayurveda for a unique spa experience.
Ama Releasing Abhyanga 1 Hour 50 Minutes – Baht 6,200
The ancient wisdoms of Ayurveda bring inspiration to body and spirit whilst balancing the elements and clearing the chakras. A salt and oil total body scrub stimulates and exfoliates before the gentle, hydrating facial cleanses and soothes the skin. The Ayurvedic Marma point massage uses a warm infusion of oils and herbs as pressure is applied to the vital energy centres to help with the elimination of toxins and negative energy. The ceremony concludes with a mind-clearing Oriental head massage, or Shirodhara, as oil is poured onto the third eye and over the scalp. Achieve ultimate tranquility and prepare to face the world completely restored.
Padabhyanga 50 Minutes – Baht 2,600
This traditional Indian foot ritual serves to wash away the pressures and problems of the day with bathing and exfoliation, before continuing with a deeply therapeutic foot and lower leg massage with specific blends of warm Ayurvedic oils. This is the perfect prelude to every treatment.
