Demonstrating a passion for authentic craftsmanship, designer Alexander Lamont uses skilled artisans to manufacture his objets d’art.
Alexander’s recent designs utilize the ancient and complex craft of lacquering which was once a prominent trade in Thailand. The application of layer upon layer of natural lacquer pigmented with ingredients such as cinnabar, cashew oils, pounded lapis and gold powder produces a mesmerizingly rich surface polish. The dark granite and mirror interior of the LAMONT showroom provides a striking backdrop for alluring lacquered shagreen cabinets, gilded tables and straw marquetry.

Belgian designers Pieter Compernol and Stephanie Grusenmeyer describe the high-end tables of P. Tendercool as haute manufacture.
All tables, from oversize dining to chic coffee, are bespoke and handmade from a selection of quality antique or reclaimed wood and Italian hand cast bronze, brass or aluminium bases. The spacious showroom is located in an exquisite colonial house beside the Chao Phraya River and the nearby workshop is situated in an astonishing Japanese-built wooden warehouse from the Second World War. Each table is the product of approximately one hundred hours of work by skilled designers and artisans, which is evident in the quality of P. Tendercool’s unique creations.
