If you’ve ever wanted to rent your own private island, Calivigny Island in the West Indies is the place for you. For $132,000 per night, you and your group of up to 40 people can be waited on hand and foot and served Michelin-starred cuisine underneath the stars. Does it get any better than that?
Calivigny Island is an estate that spreads more than 80 acres of land is just a 10-minute boat ride from Grenada (megayachts are one of the most common ways its guests arrive to the island). Within the estate there are two private villas (the Beach House with 10 suites and the Overhang House with nine suites) and three beachfront cottages that can accommodate plenty of guests, whether you’re hosting a family reunion, corporate retreat or hosting a wedding.
Guests can indulge in its myriad amenities including two outdoor pools, a swim-up bar, fitness center, tennis court, soccer field, basketball court and biking and running trails. Children are more than welcome – there is a tree house with video games and board games. Water sports are also available, from water skiing, jet skiing, catamaran and kayaking to snorkeling and wind surfing. Guests of all ages will love the outdoor cinema, billiards room and musical experiences (a 60-piece orchestra? You got it!).
Enjoy cuisine of your choice – there are more than 80 staff at the property to tend to your every need – using the finest ingredients and world-class chefs from around the globe. That means that special wines, champagnes and top-shelf spirits are at your disposal should you request it.
At every turn, you’ll experience whimsy. The floral arrangements on property are courtesy of the winner from London’s Chelsea Flower Show, and there is original artwork in every suite. In addition to its decor, the design and architecture were carefully crafted by its owners.
