The sprawling cocktail bar is inspired by lounges of the early- to mid-20th century, with plush velvet and leather loungers, a massive chandelier, brass accents, ambient lighting and mirrors everywhere. Not only is it sexy and romantic, but it gets packed at night with a sophisticated crowd. The dark and moody space truly makes you want to cozy up and never leave. The expert mixologists here have honed their craft, which is apparent in its menu. The menu is divided into sections labeled, “Conversation Pieces,” “Stirred & Boozy” and “Light & Bright.” We recommend sipping on the Penicillin, with Scotch, lemon, ginger and honey or a classic-with-a-twist, like the coconut White Russian. The cocktails are both inventive and unexpected, with plenty of ingredients you might not have even heard of. For more intimate date nights, take to the library room in the back of The Dorsey, which has a fireplace for chilly desert nights.
