This watch blends superlative mechanical watchmaking with brilliant gem setting.
By Roberta Naas | October 21 2020
From the independent Swiss brand that bills itself as creating ‘Only Tourbillon’ watches (and high velocity ones at that), this Escape IIS Treasure Baguette watch blends superlative mechanical watchmaking with brilliant gem setting. The brand’s first high complication for women, it boasts the world’s fastest triple-axis tourbillon and is the first double Spherion-powered timepiece. (The double Spherion movement, with two cages — each housing a triple-axis tourbillon — was designed by Purnell in collaboration with master watchmaker Eric Coudray.) This newest 386-part hand-winding Caliber CP13 features diamond-set spherical cages to underscore the beauty and uniqueness of the craftsmanship. The watch features an hours/minutes dial set with 46 baguette diamonds and 11 baguette sapphires as indices. The case is set with 326 baguette diamonds weighing more than 20 carats.
Price: CHF1.1m (approx. $1.2m) in 18K white gold
