Belmond Copacabana Palace, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

By Will Grice |  January 10 2018

Everyone from Princess Diana to Justin Bieber has stayed at the Copacabana Palace hotel, and it’s easy to see why it attracts such a high level of clientele. Set inside a monolithic Art Deco building, the Belmond is a stone’s throw from one of the world’s most famous beaches and is a short drive from Rio de Janeiro’s colorful city center. Not only do you have access to a private section of the beach, the Palace is also home to Mee, chef Ken Hom’s pan-Asian restaurant, one of the first in Rio to win a Michelin star. Eagle-eyed visitors will also notice the corridors adorned with photos of past guests, a veritable who’s who of music, film and politics.

Penthouse Suite from $7,620 per night. Contact Cassiano Vitorino, communications manager, cassiano.vitorino@belmond.com, +55 212 548 7070, belmond.com/brazil
