Spa of the Week: Eden Roc Cap Cana

8th July 2019 // By Emma Reynolds

Boutique resort Eden Roc Cap Cana, a Relais & Châteaux hotel, in the Dominican Republic epitomizes luxury: It is set on a private stretch of pristine white-sand beach surrounded by turquoise water. There’s no more relaxing place to indulge and relax, from its many gourmet restaurants to the Solaya Spa.

While the spa is prepared to pamper each guest with traditional massages, facials and even oceanfront treatments, it also has a strong focus on wellness. Recently the hotel brought on an in-house Wellness Advisor who will work with you on fitness, nutrition or mindfulness, which is part of a $2m renovation. The spa now spans 30,000 sq ft and includes 12 indoor/outdoor treatment rooms, an anti-gravity yoga space, indoor/outdoor Aqua Garden and freshwater pool, 3,000-sq-ft gym, wellness bar, Swedish sauna, hammam, rainfall showers, outdoor Jacuzzi and more. The space is also the world’s first Natura Bissé-branded spa and will have feature treatments with local techniques and ingredients.

You will not want to miss the Diamond Experience Rose Massage that includes a regenerating body treatment using diamond dust. Your skin immediately is refreshed to reveal a healthy glow. Your therapist will use Damask rose oil sourced from Damask roses in Morocco for an aromatherapy benefit. For even greater relaxation, book the massage outdoors where a table will be set up for you atop a private alcove next to the water. While you enjoy your treatment, you’ll hear the sound of lapping waves just below you.

While here, stay at one of the magnificent multi-bedroom villas, the Four-bedroom Imperiale Villa. The bi-level villa has four bedrooms, a private pool, lush greenery throughout the grounds and waterfalls. You’re so tucked away from the rest of the resort, which is ideal for ultra-private guests.
