Last night, luxury Swiss watch brand Hublot celebrated the launch of its latest timepiece with Brand Ambassador, Dwyane Wade. The Classic Fusion Dwyane Wade is the famed basketball star’s second edition with Hublot, following the successful launch of the sporty King Power “D-Wade” in 2011.
A departure from his first athletic timepiece, the Classic Fusion Dwyane Wade exudes an elegant, sophisticated aesthetic with a sleek 45mm case made of polished black ceramic. The red, black and regal gold embellishments reflect the colors for which Dwyane is known. The dial features a prominent Dwyane Wade logo integrated into the counter at 3 o’clock, and the printed Dwyane Wade signature at 6 o’clock. The red and black watch box resembles a luggage trunk; the type of traveling accessory Dwyane would take on the road, and can securely fit up to four watches.
Hublot, GQ and Dwyane Wade celebrated the launch last night with an exclusive dinner at OMAR’S in NYC’s Greenwich Village. Friends were invited to Omar’s private club, transformed into “Club Hublot” for the evening, where Vincent Vuillaume, President of Hublot of America, and Dwyane unveiled the new timepiece for the first time. As a special wedding gift for Dwyane and Gabrielle Union, Hublot presented them with “something blue” – his & hers Hublot Big Bang Jeans timepieces. Guests in attendance included Bruce Weber, Nan Bush, Alonzo Mourning, Maxwell Osborne, Nicole Lyn, Simon Spurr, Shawn Costner, Bradley Theodore, Blaine Trump and more.
Hublot, which also serves as the Official Timekeeper of the Miami HEAT, has been a proud partner of Dwyane Wade since 2011, when Dwyane was named an official Brand Ambassador. As a celebrated NBA Finals MVP, Olympic Gold Medalist and 3-Time NBA Champion, Dwyane has played for the Miami HEAT since he was drafted in 2003. Off the court, Dwyane is celebrated as a philanthropist, having established Wade’s World Foundation in 2003, and is recognized as a global trendsetter. His sense of style makes him the perfect fit for Hublot.
