Debuting at the 2014 IPCPR, the Oceano by La Sirena represents the 6th blend to the portfolio. The Oceano is a full body, full flavor cigar with a hearty Dominican Vuelta Arriba wrapper, Dominican binder and Dominican Ligero, Viso and Nicaraguan Viso long fill.
La Sirena Cigars is a 5-year-old ultra premium cigar company based in New York City. Though its headquarters isn’t the only thing that makes it different from the traditional cigar brands. La Sirena Cigars is fully owned and operated by Arielle Ditkowich, the only brand owned by a female in the industry. Ditkowich does not come from a heritage of farmers and was not born in Latin America. Ditkowich became interested in the tobacco industry at her local tobacconist and over the course of 2 years; she slowly entered the industry as an event hostess for other brands.
Shortly after Arielle caught the attention of an executive from Miami Cigar & Co., La Sirena Cigars was born in 2008 in a joint partnership. In January 2014, La Sirena became fully independent with Ditkowich at the helm. Today, La Sirena has 6 blends manufactured in Nicaragua, Honduras and the Dominican Republic with 90+ ratings in Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Snob publications. La Sirena can be purchased in over 350 premium humidors nationwide and in select countries globally.
