Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Müller-Ötvös says the increase in Asia’s number of high new worth individuals has helped the car manufacturer.

The company is enjoying strong growth across the continent in both emerging and existing markets. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ has just begun business in the Philippines where the country is enjoying double-digit growth in the number of UHNW individuals.

The car company has also expanded its operations in Japan by moving to Osaka. It expects business to grow as the number of UHNW individuals increases by 11% in the country.

China continues to be a strong market for Rolls-Royce despite downturn in the mass luxury sector.

Müller-Ötvös said: “Continuing success in existing markets and successfully executed entry into emerging territories forms a key part of our long-term sustainable growth plans.”
