VIVA! Das Restaurant
Style / Ambiance: Viva! Das Restaurant opened in 2010 and is a welcome addition to the Basel gastro scene.
This wonderful light-filled space is beautifully furnished and has a classy yet relaxed atmosphere. The menu uses regional products of the highest quality and delicately prepared to retain original flavors. Wild herbs and plants grown from the Viva! garden are imaginatively used by chef, Erik Schroeter, who oversees a kitchen dedicated to delivering dishes of the highest standard. During the summer months Viva! opens its summer terrace, where diners can enjoy superb dishes alfresco while waiters circulate with individual trolleys laden with drinks, canapés, cheeses and gourmet bites. Saturday and Sunday all-day cooking classes are also on offer for elite gastronomes.
