Spa of the Week: Shore Club Dune Spa

By Olivia Cuccaro

At this week’s spa, find your center in a tranquil cottage overlooking the sparkling waters of Turks and Caicos. Opened in December 2016, The Shore Club has unveiled its luxurious Dune Spa, featuring eight rooms and three wellness cottages.

With soothing names like Moonshadow, Sundancers and Sea Breeze, the three wellness cottages are accessed via a peaceful, tree-lined pathway through the dunes leading to the beach. As with the main Dune Spa facility, the cottages center on the elements of sand, sea, breeze and sun for treatments. Spa Journeys, Body Indulgence treatments, Facial Delight treatments and Healing Touch treatments are enhanced by the sounds of the surf and calm ocean wind.

Inspired by the beach, the Long Bay Spa Ritual begins with an island body scrub of brown sugarcane body polish, pure white sand from Long Bay Beach, Salt Cay sea salt and organic coconut oil for a full-body exfoliation. This is followed by a rhythmic lomi-lomi massage using warm sand pouches to loosen muscles and nourish the skin before it glows with organic frangipani oil. Or, opt for an evening Spa Journey with the Twilight Ceremony: a candlelit sage ritual with meditation and massage. If you’re traveling to Turks and Caicos with friends and family, The Shore Club Spa Sensation treats up to six guests to a personalized Spa Journey at twilight on the beach. The treatment can be complete with a custom after-dinner tasting menu and wine pairing under the stars.

Prefer to receive your treatment in the comfort of your suite? Make sure it’s the Three Bedroom Executive Penthouse. Offering panoramic views of the ocean, the Penthouse includes three king-size bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms with soaking tub, separate shower and sauna, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, living room and dining room. Unwind on the poolside balcony with hot tub or take in the views from the wraparound oceanfront balcony.

The Shore Club Turks and Caicos is located at Shore Club Beach, Grace Bay TKCA 1ZZ, Turks & Caicos Islands. For more information on the hotel and spa, please visit
