The iconic watchmaker debuts its first factory producing cases and components.
Situated in Les Breuleux, Switzerland, the Proart Factory spans 32,000 square feet. It produces Richard Mille watch cases as well as movement components such as baseplates and bridges.
For Richard Mille, the opening of Proart represents a major step towards becoming an in-house manufacturer. In recent years, the company has developed limited-edition, technologically complex pieces, such as the RM 039 Aviation E6-B Flyback Chronograph, of which only 30 were produced. In-house production would permit the brand to develop more of these small-volume, high-performance pieces.
