Celebrated for its pristine dive sites, lush rainforest and Caribbean charm, St Kitts will soon be home to a new luxury hotel. Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour, the first Caribbean property from Park Hyatt, is set to open in the summer of 2017 on the beach of Banana Bay.

Set within Christophe Harbour, Park Hyatt St Kitts will feature unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea and nearby island of Nevis, which can be enjoyed by all guests from their private balcony or terrace. Designed to reflect the island’s heritage, the beachfront resort encompasses 78 guest rooms, 48 suites, spacious reception hall, adult and youth swimming pools. Premium suites will feature private rooftop swimming pools and sundecks, but the property’s most coveted suite is sure to be the 5,210 sq ft Presidential Villa, featuring three bedrooms with king- and queen-size beds, a private infinity pool, wellness area, personal butler and private chef.

For fresh, local cuisine, Fisherman’s Village will serve an ocean-to-table menu in quaint huts over the sparkling water. A more intimate meal will be found at the Stone Barn, an adults-only fine dining restaurant with extensive wine list. Or, opt for all-day dining in the colonial Great House which also offers a bar, herb garden, chef’s table and afternoon tea.

The property’s relaxation destination will be the Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary. The facility will include nine treatment rooms, a 24-hour fitness club, Watsu therapy yoga and meditation. If you prefer to get active, the resort offers snorkeling, motorized watersports and boat excursions. The real thrill-seekers can even take part in an annual organized swim from St Kitts to Nevis. Whatever piques your interest, be sure to order a rum cocktail while you unwind by the pool – it’s what the region is known for.

If you prefer to explore outside of the resort, Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour will introduce a curated collection of enriching “Journeys.” Walk along the island with a historian, take a rainforest excursion, or visit a Unesco site to be immersed in Caribbean culture. Younger travelers will have access to The Island Fort by Camp Hyatt, which will offer fun and educational children’s activities.

“The opening of Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour launches the destination of St Kitts into a new dimension of hospitality,” said Julian Moore, General Manager, in speaking to Elite Traveler. “Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour has embraced the core local elements of history, nature, culture and art. Each of these elements has been seamlessly integrated into the essence of the resort’s guest experience. It is this fusion that enables guests to have rare, rewarding experiences which, in turn, will contribute to the growth of the destination.”

Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour will be located at Banana Bay, South East Peninsula, Parish of St George, St Kitts. For more information, please visit stkitts.park.hyatt.com.
