The 25-cabin Orcaella will debut July 22, 2013, and will cruise Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady and Chindwin Rivers.
The seven- and 11-night itineraries will travel between Mandalay, Yangon and Bhamo. Highlights will include excursions to the temples of Bagan, visiting the Pyi Taw Pyan Pagoda and cruising along the Chinese border at the foothills of Yunnan.
Seventeen of Orcaella’s 25 cabins are suites, and all have river views and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. It joins Orient-Express’ existing Myanmar river cruiser, Road to Mandalay, which has journeyed along the Ayeyarwady River for 17 years.
Rates for a seven-night trip on the Orcaella will start at $5,040 per person, inclusive of all excursions, onboard dining, transfers and domestic flights.
