The Explorations Company, a luxury boutique travel company, partners with Arctic Trucks, Antarctic experts who have completed over 125,000 miles on the Antarctic Ice Cap, for a one-time only expedition to cross Antarctica.
Up to six people will travel in specialized, polar-prepared trucks on an unforgettable journey. Departing from Amundsen Coast Camp – the base for both Roald Amundsen and Robert Falcon Scott – with the right conditions, your group can try to set a world record for the fastest trip from Amundsen Coast to the Pole.
Be the first to follow in Sir Vivian Fuchs’ footsteps on the route over the Ronne Ice Shelf at Constellation Inlet. Other activities can be added including cross-country skiing to the Pole (if you won’t break the record), climbing Mount Vinson and snowmobiling.
This is a participatory expedition, so in the spirit of true explorers, the group will help set up and break down camp, cook and do whatever else the expedition requires. Safety is taken care of at all times; support staff and guides accompany the group and in case of an emergency there is a medical evacuation to Chile.
