“Today we celebrate the successful acquisition of Landmark Aviation. We are so pleased and proud to welcome Landmark’s 3,000 global employees to the BBA Aviation and Signature Flight Support teams. Our customers will benefit immensely from the substantially expanded global footprint of the Signature Flight Support network. This acquisition also significantly enhances our Signature TECHNICAir™ MRO business and we look forward to offering aircraft charter and management services to our customers,” stated Maria Sastre, President and COO of Signature Flight Support.

Landmark operates a global network of Fixed Base Operations (FBOs), Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Management and Charter businesses.  This acquisition represents a major expansion of Signature Flight Support, the world’s largest FBO network.  With the purchase including Landmark’s 68 FBOs in North America and Europe and its MRO business, Signature’s global network now numbers 195 global locations located throughout North America, Europe, South America, Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

The acquisition process required the divestment of six co-located FBO locations: Westchester County Airport (HPN), New York; Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Virginia; Scottsdale Airport (SDL), Arizona; Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), Alaska; Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), California and Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM), California. Landmark’s aircraft maintenance locations will also supplement Signature’s existing MRO operations delivered through its Signature TECHNICAir and CSE Citation Centre brands. Landmark’s aircraft management and charter fleet numbers over 110 aircraft.

The transaction including Landmark’s 110-aircraft strong charter/management division is structured to be U.S. Department of Transportation compliant, extending the services that BBA Aviation can offer its customers. Signature will move rapidly to rebrand all of the FBO locations as Signature Flight Support by way of a phased approach. Once a facility is completely rebranded, customers will receive the benefits of Signature’s world-class customer service, Signature TailWins® and Signature Status® rewards programs.
