Limited Release

By Chris Boyle

Start fresh with the season’s new and noteworthy luxuries, from a spirited men’s fragrance to a rare vintage that’s as good as gold.

Coomi

Jewelry designer Coomi Bhasin surrounds precious gems and ancient artifacts alike with rose-cut diamonds and 20K gold to make the kind of wearable works of art found in her coveted eponymous line Coomi.

With this level of craftsmanship, it was only a matter of time before haute joaillerie followed suit.

For her first high jewelry collection, called Trinity, Bhasin worked tirelessly to develop a unique “invisible” setting that makes diamonds appear as if they are floating in air amidst stunning Mozambique rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and even conch pearls (white gold, emerald, and diamond earrings, $260,000).

Bulgari

Inspired by the iconic screen sirens of the Dolce Vita epoch, Bulgari put its Roman roots to good use for its latest collection of high jewelry and accessories, appropriately christened Diva.

Among the standout pieces: Diamond-embellished cat eye sunglasses and this right-on-trend top-handle handbag in sumptuous alligator leather—its snake head closure, a Bulgari signature, is crafted from rose gold and adorned with lapis lazuli and chrysocolla.

Supermodel-turned-first lady of France (and face of the new collection) Carla Bruni-Sarkozy would surely approve ($26,000).

Linley

Linley gives avid pen collectors a vessel worthy of housing their most treasured pieces: This new cabinet, exclusive to Harrods, stores up to 100 pens in superlative style.

Crafted from rich American walnut with Macassar ebony inlay and sterling silver detailing, it features a toughened glass window fit for admiring one’s collection, in addition to ample storage areas for inks and a roll blotter.

A secret drawer within the base offers room to stash a particularly prized writing instrument ($41,000).

The-Glenlivet

The complex nose of The Glenlivet’s single malt whiskey has always enchanted scotch drinkers, but now discerning gentlemen have a novel way to enjoy their favorite spirit.

Bringing new meaning to the term “intoxicating aroma,” the Scottish house teamed up with Brooklyn-based artisanal perfumers D.S. & Durga for its first fine fragrance venture, launching this fall.

Through the use of rare plant extracts and balsams, and by pairing notes as far- reaching as grass and wild chamomile with barley malt and charred bourbon barrel, the limited-edition Spirit of the Glen perfectly captures the essence of the Highlands ($180).

Cristal

What’s more decadent than Cristal? Try Cristal’s ultra-rare 2002 vintage encased in a 24K gold handcrafted lattice, featuring original artwork by renowned Parisian artist Philippe Di Méo: For their first-ever limited-edition bottle, the house of Louis Roederer pulled out all the stops.

The Jeroboam 2002 by Cristal makes its debut this September with only 200 bottles available worldwide ($25,000).

Moncler

Moncler enlisted the talents of Greek designer Mary Katrantzou, whose kaleidoscopic prints and sculptural silhouettes have become a red carpet mainstay since the launch of her eponymous line in 2009, to help develop a new capsule collection called Moncler M.

The design-driven outerwear balances the French-Italian label’s commitment to performance and technology with luxe fur inserts and fashion-forward voluminous shapes for pieces you’ll want to wear all winter long (coat, $2,135).
