COMO Hotels and Resorts has officially opened its second resort in the Maldives, and the first in the pristine Thaa atoll.
As the latest luxury travel experience in the Maldives, Maalifushi by COMO welcomes guests to a 20-acre secluded retreat and private island. With stunning views of its tropical setting, the resort is the ultimate getaway destination for travelers seeking a sophisticated and relaxed environment.
The interiors of the resort are the exquisite work of Japanese designer Koichiro Ikebuchi, whose understated style allows the open vistas to take center stage. In addition to Maalifushi’s on-land garden accommodations, guests can also arrange to stay in one of the overwater suites and villas—each of which has its own private terrace with uninterrupted views of the sea.
Maalifushi embraces the spirit of its exclusive, tropical location by providing stand-out services and lavish opportunities. The string of uninhabited islands surrounding the island resort’s bright turquoise lagoons includes a small piece of land that guests can book for castaway picnics and romantic private dinners. With convenient access to the untouched waters of the Thaa atoll, the resort also offers an abundance of underwater experiences, including special access to an on-island Dive Center and guided excursions led by a marine biologist and certified PADI instructors.
Additional highlights of the resort include the all-day Madi restaurant, the Thila pool bar and lounge, the Tai fine dining restaurant, and the COMO Shambhala Retreat spa. This ocean-facing spa at Maalifushi allows guests to escape and unwind, providing them with a gym, eight overwater treatment rooms, and yoga pavilion.
Maalifushi by COMO officially opened earlier this month and is now accepting reservations.
