Bimini Bay Resort Slates Opening For Fall 2008

MIAMI, FL — Situated just 48 nautical miles off the coast of South Florida on the Bahamian island of North Bimini the new Bimini Bay Resort is slating Fall 2008 for its opening.

Featuring 200 luxury suites and homes including one/two/three-bedroom condominiums, one/three-bedroom treehouses and three/four-bedroom oceanfront/bayfront homes, the resort also offers two full-service marinas, infinity pool and oversized pool, Aquagrille restaurant, Fisherman’s Village shopping plaza, Swedish and Thai massage services, children’s playground and Beach Bums Activity Center, meeting and event facilities, tennis and bocce ball courts and a fine dining restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Real estate opportunities are also available including direct oceanfront lots and exclusive home sites on the resort’s private island. Guests also have the option to include their property in the resort’s rental pool. Plans are almost complete for a Bristol Cellars, John Bull Jewelers and Spa Chakra and plans are underway for a Conrad Hotel, casino, Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed links golf course and a second private island.

Bimini Bay Resort is located at the point where the Gulf Stream meets the Great Bahama Bank and is heralded as the bonefish and big-game fishing capital of the world.

Accommodations – The Bahamian-inspired architecture of Bimini Bay Resort’s luxury suites, treehouses and homes showcase the color palettes reflective of the ocean and flowers native to the island. Painted in tropical hues of green, blue, peach, yellow, pink and turquoise and accented with white windows, railings and doors, all units offer water views of the Atlantic Ocean and/or Bimini Bay.

Accommodations are elegantly appointed with beachy-chic décor and all offer full-service kitchens, granite countertops and stacked washer/dryer units.Marina – Bimini Bay Resort’s full-service marina has 136 floating boat slips that accommodate vessels up to 128 feet.

It also features its own Customs & Immigration office allowing guests to tie up and clear customs immediately. The Bahamian government recently completed an environmentally-friendly dredging of the Bimini Bay harbor resulting in a new channel that can accommodate mega yachts.Mega Yacht Marina – The resort’s Mega Yacht marina complex currently has 96 slips (for owners and hotels guests) that can accommodate mega yachts up to 205 feet.

On the horizon are a yacht club, oversized pool, restaurant with sushi bar, fitness center and convention center.
