A Note from the Ernesto Coppel, Owner of Pueblo Bonito Resorts and Spas

I would like to take a moment to address the current situation in Cabo San Lucas. I am saddened by the damage caused by Hurricane Odile and destruction it caused in Los Cabos and the surrounding areas. My thoughts and prayers are with the local people that were affected by this natural disaster, including many of our Pueblo Bonito employees.

Our staff members are very important to us, as they are the most important asset to the company. I am very proud of our Pueblo Bonito staff, who maintained the utmost professionalism and worked very hard to take care of the more than 2000 guests who were staying with us during the storm. Even though the staff had been affected personally, and may not have had homes to go home to at night, they did all that was in their power to help the guests stay calm, fed, dry and safe. The Pueblo Bonito team is what makes the company the wonderful hotel group that it is, and we will be doing all that we can to assist our employees to rebuild in the coming months.

I have been personally committing myself to the efforts being made to restore the hotels as soon as possible. We are working hard to reestablish all services and to repair, even improve, aspects of the resorts. I have always insisted on having structurally sound , high-quality facilities, and because of this, our resorts were in relatively good condition after the hurricane. Our recovery time will be fast, and I will work to ensure that progress is made as quickly as possible.

I am happy to report that the authorities are making impressive progress with reestablishing services and with the reconstruction of the damaged areas in the destination. My team and I will continue working with these authorities to keep the Pueblo Bonito community up to date on the status of the restorations.

I very much look forward to being able to welcome guests once again to our Cabo San Lucas resorts, and I hope that you will all visit soon to see yourself that they are still as spectacular as ever!
