Steenberg Hotel & Camp Jabulani Offer Exceptional Vacation Package

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Cape Town, South Africa – Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private Jet Lifestyle Magazine

The Steenberg Hotel has teamed up with Camp Jabulani to offer the ultimate South African luxury adventure: The Platinum Heritage Experience. This seven-day, six-night package ($9,613 per couple) is available exclusively through an outstanding partnership between a historic five-star hotel and a luxury safari camp close to Kruger National Park.

This memorable vacation begins in the Cape Winelands area with a four-day, three-night stay in a Heritage Suite at the Steenberg Hotel. The Steenberg Hotel buildings, which are national monuments, date back to 1682 and have been painstakingly restored. The hotel comprises 21 guest rooms and three Heritage Suites within the original buildings.

During these four days, the Hotel offers a private wine tasting at the expansive Steenberg Vineyard, the Cape’s oldest wine farm still producing award-winning wines. In addition, a complimentary daily shuttle to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and transfers to local shops and restaurants is offered.

The original wine cellar at the Steenberg is now Catharina’s Restaurant, one of Cape Town’s best, where Chef Almazan prepares innovative cuisine, complemented by an impressive list of Constantia wines. A sommelier is on hand to help diners pair the innovative South African cuisine with the perfect wine. Dive into the luxurious spa or one of two swimming pools, relax at the trendy pool bar or dine at Bixtro Sixteen82, a new tapas bar. Not satisfied? There is also an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Peter Matkovitch.

After day four, the wine tasting and golf playing ends and the bush walks begin as the real adventure gets a roaring start with a short flight from Cape Town to Limpopo Province to cozy in at Camp Jabulani. The four-day, three-night stay boasts nights spent in one of the six ultra-luxurious suites and days spent with elephant-back safaris, game drives and guided bush walks. In addition, there is a visit to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center, one of the leaders in the breeding and research of endangered species.

Camp Jabulani, which opened in 2004, is a masterpiece in services, luxury, and practicality. With all of the suites showcasing a private deck, plunge pool and fireplace, along with several other unforgettable amenities, the experience is topped-off with a private butler. In addition, the African décor allows for a complete immersion into the South African lifestyle using rich textures that appeal to contemporary tastes.

Likewise, for families enjoying generational travel or guests seeking a little more privacy, the Zindoga Villa is an ultra-deluxe suite with a maximum capacity of six people. It boasts two wood-burning fireplaces, two heated pools, as well as a dedicated chef and team to guarantee everything runs smoothly.

This outstanding Platinum Heritage Experience package is available from November 1, 2010 until October 31, 2011 (excluding December 20, 2010, to January 5, 2011). The six-night package does not need to be booked consecutively and is not available with any other offers.
