Pink Diamond Bracelet

New York, New York—Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

While everyone knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, natural colored diamonds are quickly becoming an intimate acquaintance of savvy investors, thanks in large part to their rarity (just one of every 10,000 diamonds earns the distinction of Fancy Colored Diamond). Accounting for a mere 0.03 percent of the world’s diamond production, Natural Pink Diamonds are in particularly short supply—90 percent of them come from Australia’s Argyle mine, expected to have less than ten years of production left.

Fancy Intense or Fancy Vivid Yellow diamonds, sometimes known as Canary diamonds, are also in feverish demand, fetching record amounts at auctions. October’s Magnificent Jewels auction at Christie’s New York saw the sale of a pair of interchangeable ear pendants featuring a 52.78-carat Fancy Yellow diamond for $4,764,500.

This fall, two unprecedented colored diamond pieces will make their dazzling debut at seven of the United States’ top jewelers, from Boston to Newport Beach. A Majestic Pink Diamond bracelet stuns with more than 200 marquise and square-cut Fancy Pink diamonds, while an exquisite 10.02-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond Marquise ring redefines “one of a kind.” Available by appointment only, these baubles are irresistible for both their beauty and their portfolio-padding potential (prices available upon request).
