7 High Profile Ferrari Owners in India

Ferrari is one of the most iconic supercar brands in the world; with India representing a dynamic emerging market for supercars. A market of over 1 billion people, Ferrari had only 50 clients in all of India prior to its opening in New Dehli in 2011.
With a rich motorsport legacy, the supercar brand naturally gained a strong following and status in India upon the opening. The official launch made India the 58th market of the Prancing Horse.

Ferrari returned to the Indian market with a brand new showroom and partnership in 2015, followed by a second showroom in Mumbai. The elite list of Ferrari owners in India has grown extensively as the super cars continue to illustrate supremacy in speed and engineering precision.

Ferrari India sells its entire range in the country, except the LaFerrari hypercar California T, the Ferrari FF and the Ferrari 488 GTB, Ferrari 458 Spider and Ferrari 458, with car prices starting from $188,425.

Sanjay Dutt

sanjay_dutt_departmentIn a film career spanning more than 35 years, Dutt has won two Filmfare Awards, two IIFA Awards, two Bollywood Movie Awards, three Screen Awards, three Stardust Awards, a Global Indian Film Award and a Bengal Film Journalist’s Association Award.
The Bollywood actor and producer owns a Ferrari 599 GTB. Under the hood, the stunning car houses a 5999cc engine which churns out about 612 BHp of power.
The Tipo F140 C 6.0 L (5999 cc) V12 engine produces a maximum 620 PS (456 kW; 612 hp), which made it the most powerful series production Ferrari road car during the time of its introduction.

Indian businessman and cricket administrator Lalit Modi’s Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has gained recognition for its registration plate embossed as “CRI3KET”. Modi received his supercar as a gift from his son Ruchir Modi who is also a car enthusiast.
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is to date, th most powerful and high performance naturally aspirated 12-cylinder of the Ferrari range.
The F12berlinetta’s 200-bar, direct-injection 6262 cc 65° V12 delivers unprecedented performance for a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine in terms of both power and revs.

Gautam Singhania

Indian businessman Gautam Singhania is widely known for his passion for fast cars. He has driven a Formula 1 car in France, and Ferrari 360 Modena in a road and track rally across Europe. The car enthusiast has also formed the first ever super car club in India.
Singhania owns a Ferrari 458 Italia and has won a number of races with his Ferrari.
The Ferrari 458 was introduced as the successor to the F430 but arising from an entirely new design, incorporating technologies developed from the company’s experience in Formula 1.

Sachin Tendulkar

Michael Schumacher, back then the F1 world champion driving a Ferrari on the race track, was flown in to hand over the keys of the car to Tendulka.
Tendulkar later sold the Ferrari 360 to business tycoon, Jayesh Desai who keeps the car in Surat.

Businessman and politician Vijay Mallya’s car collections boasts three Ferraris. The collection includes a Ferrari 246 Dino, a 275 GTB/4 and a 365 California Spyder.
He is also the Team Chief of Sahara Force India Formula 1 race team. With more than 260 cars, bicycles and race cars, his car collection is stored in a private museum.

Bollywood film and music producer Bhushan Kumar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Super Cassettes Industries Limited, also known as T-Series.
The media mogul owns a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider. The 458 Spider features an aluminium retractable hard top which weighs 25 kilograms (55 lb) less than a soft roof such as the one found on the original Ferrari F430 Spider, and can be opened in 14 seconds.

Bollywood actor Imran Khan exported his Ferrari California from Maranello. The two-door hardtop convertible sportscar is powered by a 4.3 litre direct injection V8 petrol engine which puts out a whooping 490 BHp and 506 Nm of torque.
