L’Ambroisie combines elegant French haute cuisine and Parisian sophistication in the historic heart of the capital.

Once the town house of the Duke of Chaulnes, the interiors are as rich as its truffle, foie gras and caviar-filled menu. The epitome of fine French dining, worthy of its three Michelin stars.

Set in the cloistered Places des Vosges, the dining room of Ambroisie is similarly elegant. For a starter I had four superb langoustines, strikingly fresh and perfectly cooked. For main course I had a stunning poulet Bresse, a whole chicken cooked and then carved at the table. Both leg and breast of chicken had great flavor, served with a remarkable gnocci. Coffee was excellent, served with petits fours including a lovely tart of wild strawberries and an excellent almond tuile. Overall a very fine meal, with some dishes that would be hard to improve upon.
