Spilia Seaside Restaurant

One of the most dramatic dining settings on Mykonos, the seaside restaurant Spilia (which translates to cave) is perched on the rocks of Agia Anna cove by Kalafatis beach, positioned overlooking the sea. The restaurant places the focus on Mediterranean-Mykonian cuisine and in particular the seafood and fish that comes straight from the water; oysters, mussels and urchins as well as crayfish and lobster come straight from a natural sea pool.

The Mediterranean cuisine here is fused with flavors from across the globe. The restaurant offers a Cantonese menu of dishes fusing the signature cuisine of Hakkasan with local ingredients; the dim sum platter includes lobster, king prawn, seabass and Mediterranean red prawn truffle dumplings. Aside from Hakkasan’s famous dim sum, try the braised lobster with black Chinese vinegar, the grilled Chilean seabass in honey or the black truffle roast duck.

He opened his restaurant here at the Belvedere Hotel in 2004 to combine his distinct culinary style with the local ingredients, taking particular pride in the fresh seafood. Guests here can dine by the pool with a view over the hillside’s white houses, which lead down to the Aegean Sea. The wine cellar here has won awards too, as it provides an extensive collection of old and new world wines, including a number of Greek labels.
