Over 100 high profile supporters, dignitaries, government leaders and celebrities – including Kim Cattrall, Dame Shirley Bassey, Amanda Holden, Luke Evans and Hayley Atwell – gathered together for The Climate Group’s much-anticipated 10th anniversary fundraising gala dinner.
Hosted under the high patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the evening was hosted at the beautiful Hôtel de Paris in Monte-Carlo. On arrival, guests enjoyed a Champagne reception in the hotel’s Salle Empire, before being seated for a four-course dinner prepared by Hôtel de Paris’s Michelin starred Executive Chef Franck Cerutti.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to world-class entertainment – culminating in a live performance from British songstress Paloma Faith.
With two double platinum selling albums, her third album recently going straight to number two in the UK album charts, and a show stopping performance at Fashion Week’s Burberry show, the three time BRIT-nominated Paloma wowed guests with a powerful showcase of songs, all performed with her exciting style and flair.
Paloma Faith said: “I was delighted to perform at The Climate Group’s 10th anniversary fundraising gala in Monaco this evening. It is an extremely important cause and a true honour to be part of such a milestone event in The Climate Group’s history.”
At the center of the evening’s proceedings was a high-octane live auction, compered by Sotheby’s Lord Dalmeny. The catalogue of luxury auction lots included a seven night stay on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island, prestigious Picasso linocuts, a private piano lesson with Jamie Cullum (bought by an extremely enthusiastic Dame Shirley Bassey), a chance to meet world-renowned tennis player Henri Leconte at the Royal Albert Hall in London, a one-year Quintessentially Lifestyle Elite Membership, a limited edition vintage IWC Schaffhausen watch and an exclusive eco-luxury holiday at Soneva Fushi.
All monies raised on the night were donated to The Climate Group and The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The Gala was supported by the Dutch Postcode Lottery and BMW.
VIP attendees included: HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Kim Cattrall, Dame Shirley Bassey, Paloma Faith, Hayley Atwell, Luke Evans, Amanda Holden, Marc Maury, Henri Leconte, Gretchen Bleiler and Lord Harry Dalmeny.
