The newly released Dior campaign starring Lawrence unveils the new Dior Beauty Addict lipstick. Adorning a slick of fuchsia gloss, the 24-year-old’s hair is styled in a 1950s bob, mirroring that of Marilyn Monroe.
Dior Makeup creative and image director Peter Philips said: “Joy is the DNA of Dior Addcit. It is a lipstick that shines and I wanted to really enhance that but to give it a twist…it is a masterpiece. It looks amazing and there are two formulas from the top of the lipstick all the way through to the end. We are mixing the lipstick and the top coat just to make sure that this shine effect is exploited to the max.
“The Addict woman is spontaneous and trend setting and we try to represent all of those characteristics in the color range and in the effects.”
Styled in a baby pink dress with lace up detail with a thigh high split and chunky silver earrings, Lawrence said: “I was really excited when I came to represent beauty because I have had such a wonderful time working with Dior Couture. There is such a synergy between fashion and beauty and I j’adore Dior.
“I am like the Dior Addict woman. I like to be surprised and this lipstick surprised me. It’s very shiny and easy to apply. I really love it…it is modern and fresh.”
On the lipstick chosen for the shoot, she said: “I love the lipstick we chose for the shoot; it is kind of a pink raspberry color. It is very feminine and modern at the same time. Peter Philips is a genius and he is so nice and amazing to work with.”
She added: “To me the Dior Addict woman is playful and spontaneous and free.”
The tagline – “shine, don’t be shy” – means, according to Lawrence “this is your moment to radiate, feel good and confident”.
