The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Institute takes place annually in Utah. It is the largest independent film festival in the United States.
Held in January in Park City, Salt Lake City, and Ogden, as well as at the Sundance Resort, the festival is a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. First started as a way to showcase the best small independent American films, almost 40 years later, the celluloid celebration also includes the some of best new international films as well.
The elaborate viewing edifice is designed to showcase carefully culled and curated films, documentaries, features and shorts to industry viewers.
